Welcome to Surf Village
Surf Village is a Planned Unit Development (PUD) located in Milford, Connecticut. We are a beach community consisting of 98 units which showcase several different unique floor plans. Sandpiper Crescent, Sandpiper Circle, and Merwin Avenue offer beautiful townhouses, some of which sit on a magnificent salt marsh that offers endless views of natural wildlife. Our community is extended across Merwin Avenue to our clubhouse and private pool which overlooks our own private beach that affords us wonderful relaxing views of Long Island Sound. The warm, friendly environment of our community enables us to come together to enjoy year round activities and social events. Our complex is a short drive to an abundance of shopping areas, eateries, medical facilities, schools, and houses of worship.
The Surf Village Townhouse complex was built in the mid to late 1980’s. Beginning in 2006, we began a renovation project expected to be completed by 2012. The 1st phase of our project was the replacement of the roofs on our 20 buildings. This encompassed the removal and replacement of all materials based on new engineering specifications. The 2nd phase of our multi-phased project included the removal of the clapboards and trim on each building. This material was replaced with maintenance free vinyl siding. Our decks/porches have been rebuilt using AZEK, again making them maintenance free. Mailboxes, street signs, and street lights have been updated. As our project nears completion, the 3rd phase of the project includes the repaving of: roads, curbs, and driveways. The continuing landscaping of our property allows us to take pride in the fact that there are many complexes in our area but there is only one Surf Village.
